Fractured World – Displacement, Diaspora And Poetry

In keeping with the current exhibition, ILHAM invites six poets currently living in Malaysia to perform their work about different kinds of fracturing — lives, identity, family, home and society. These poets write about the fractures that exist in their lives and their society both here and in the countries of their birth. Many of the poets are from the refugee and migrant communities, bringing unexpectedly lyrical and poetic perspectives of our fragmented world into sharp view.
