Talk by Jomo Kwame Sundaram, moderated by Ong Kar Jin

KS Jomo, a noted economist of Malaysia, will give a talk on the plantation’s structuring role in the Malaysian economy, historical to the present. He will also cover the ways in which other nations, especially in Southeast Asia and Latin America, have reacted to plantation economies by developing theories of Structuralism and dependency.
